The waters of Tropical Storm Irene cut a path of destruction through Vermont not seen since the Great Flood of 1927. Roads, bridges and houses simply disappeared. The incredibly powerful floodwaters carried away cars, trucks, fuel tanks, ripping apart communities and neighborhoods. The Vermont Long-Term Disaster Recovery Group's charge is to help Vermont's thousands of flood victims.
